1. Agreement to Terms
By using any service provided by Hypnotiks Computer & Repair Ltd, operating as Hypnotik Computers & Repair and Hypnotik MSP, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services Covered
These terms apply to all services offered by Hypnotiks Computer & Repair Ltd including managed IT services, networking and security, PC repair, electronics repair, motherboard repair, game console repair and modding, custom PC builds, physical security installations, low voltage cabling, data recovery, recycling, and any related consultation or support services.
3. Estimates and Quotes
All repair and project estimates are provided in good faith based on initial inspection or consultation. Final pricing may vary based on additional findings discovered during the repair or build process. No additional work will be performed beyond the original scope without your prior authorization. For mail-in repairs, authorization is obtained before any work begins unless full pre-authorization has been granted at intake.
4. Diagnostic Deposit
A diagnostic deposit of $35.00 is required before repair work begins. This deposit is applied toward the cost of your repair if repair is authorized and performed. If you choose not to proceed with the repair after diagnosis the deposit is non-refundable. Extended diagnostic time beyond 30 minutes is billed at $45.00 per hour and does not apply toward the cost of repair.
5. Data Recovery
A bench fee of $50.00 is collected for all data recovery jobs. This fee is refunded upon successful recovery of your data. If data cannot be recovered no labor charges will be applied on qualifying jobs. A deposit is required prior to work beginning on severe damage cases requiring micro-soldering. Hypnotiks makes no guarantee of successful data recovery. Results depend on the condition of the device and the nature of the damage.
6. Parts and Components
All parts used in repairs and builds are sourced through quality channels using original manufacturer components or equivalent alternatives depending on availability and customer preference. Parts are billed at cost with a markup of no more than 3 percent. All parts are disclosed transparently on your invoice.
7. Turnaround Time
Standard repair and build timelines are provided as estimates and are not guaranteed. Expedited repairs completed in under three days are available for an additional fee quoted at intake. Hypnotiks is not liable for delays caused by parts availability, shipping, or circumstances outside of our control.
8. Mail-In Repairs
Devices sent in for repair are documented with video confirmation upon receipt. Daily updates are provided throughout the process. No work proceeds without client authorization unless full pre-authorization is granted at intake. Hypnotiks is not responsible for damage that occurred prior to receipt or during shipping. Clients are responsible for proper packaging of devices sent by mail.
9. Warranty on Repairs
Hypnotiks stands behind our work. Labor performed by our technicians carries a 30-day warranty against the same defect. This warranty does not cover new damage, user-caused issues, water damage, or damage resulting from events outside our control after the device has been returned. Parts carry the warranty provided by the manufacturer or supplier where applicable.
10. Limitation of Liability
Hypnotiks is not liable for data loss, pre-existing damage, or damage resulting from conditions not caused by our work. Clients are strongly encouraged to back up all data before submitting any device for service. Our total liability for any claim related to a repair or service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service.
11. Abandoned Devices
Devices left with Hypnotiks for repair that have not been claimed within 30 days of notification of completion or diagnosis may be considered abandoned. Hypnotiks reserves the right to recycle or dispose of abandoned devices in accordance with applicable law after this period.
12. MSP and Contracted Services
Managed IT service agreements are governed by a separate Master Service Agreement signed at onboarding. In the event of a conflict between these general terms and a signed service agreement, the service agreement takes precedence.
13. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Hypnotiks accepts payment through our secure processing platform. Failure to remit payment may result in the device being held until the balance is settled.
14. Changes to These Terms
Hypnotiks reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
